Invitation to the 64th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Plant Physiologists

1. Qualification of presenters
In accordance with JSPP Article 7(3), the presenters of the Annual Meeting must be JSPP members. If you are a presenter who is in the process of enrollment, please complete the procedure and the payment of the membership fee before the Annual Meeting; otherwise, your presentation will be canceled.

The type of presentation (poster or oral presentation) is decided by the program committee to meet the requests at the time of application, but if you select “No preference” at the time of application, please make sure to confirm the type of presentation through the program before proceeding with your preparations.

Slides used in oral presentations should be in English. Prepare a brief summary slide in English as the last slide.
Each presentation is allotted a 15-min slot, a talk for 12 min and discussion for 2 min 30 s, followed by a 30 s interval before the next speaker. To keep the session on schedule, please strictly follow the time limits. The details of how to upload a poster will be announced later.
The procedures for symposium presentations are the same as those for oral presentations except for the presentation time slots. Please ask the organizers of your symposium for details.
Nine symposia are scheduled. The list of the symposia is attached as a PDF file. The details of the symposia will be given later on the website of JSPP Annual Meeting. All symposium speakers will be selected and invited by the symposium organizers. Please note that a symposium speaker cannot give an oral or poster presentation.

A banquet will be held at Hotel Metropolitan, Sendai JR-East from 18:00 on March 16 (Thu). The banquet venue is directly connected to JR Sendai Station, so it is convenient to use the Sendai City Subway to get there from the venue of the award lecture. Participants (limited to those who have made a reservation in advance and paid the registration fee) are requested to remember to bring their registration cards. You cannot register for participation on site.
Since the situation of COVID-19 infection is constantly changing, we will analyze the situation and consider the best way to deal with the situation, while maintaining close contact with the JSPP headquarters and related academic societies. Anyone who wants to present a paper (oral, poster or symposium presentations), should register for attendance and submit your paper title together with abstract by November 30, 2022, 24:00 (Japan Standard Time) through the online system. The list of categories (for oral or poster presentation) is attached as a PDF file.
The abstract should not exceed 1200 letters. Figures and tables should not be placed in the abstract. Applications for presentations will not be accepted after the deadline. The program of the meeting will be placed on the website at the end of January 2023.
Registration is required for all attendees. Please register through the online system by February 6, 2023, 24:00 (Japan Standard Time). Please notice that onsite registration is not available.

** Non-member symposium speakers are exempt from registration fee. Symposium abstract should be submitted on-line by November 30, 2022.
The registration fee should be paid on-line by credit card or sent by postal giro transfer (Postal account No. 00990-1-284785, domestic transaction only) by November 30, 2022 if you are presenting a paper, by February 6, 2023 if you are attending but not presenting paper. Please notice that onsite registration is not available.
After the deadline indicated above, presentation, registration, and payment of participation fee will not be possible. Note that due to the management of the online annual meeting, you cannot register for participation on the day.
Receipts will not be issued. Once registration forms and payment have been received, the payment will not be refunded, even if the registration is cancelled.
