Regulations for the Japanese Society of Plant Physiologists Plant and Cell Physiology Best Paper Award for the Paper of Excellence

Article 1
The Japanese Society of Plant Physiologists (hereafter referred to as “JSPP”) shall confer the JSPP Plant and Cell Physiology Award for the Paper of Excellence (hereafter referred to as the “PCP Best Paper Award”) in order to promote plant science–related fields through the announcement of outstanding papers.
Article 2
The PCP Best Paper Award shall be granted to the author who has published a creative and internationally acclaimed paper in Plant and Cell Physiology that has contributed to the advancement of plant science.
Article 3
The PCP Best Paper Award shall be granted regardless of the awardee’s nationality or age. The paper for which the PCP Best Paper Award is granted must have been published in Plant and Cell Physiology in the year prior to the selection.
Article 4
The PCP Award Committee, which has been organized under the PCP Award Committee regulations stipulated separately, shall select PCP Best Paper Award candidates and report the selection result to the President. The President shall then notify the result to the Directors and determine the awardees by a resolution of the Board of Directors. The PCP Best Paper Award shall be granted to one or two awardees each year.
Article 5
The President shall present an honorary certificate and a supplementary prize of 200,000 yen to the PCP Best Paper Award recipient at the award ceremony of the JSPP Annual Meeting. In general, awardees resident in Japan shall give an award lecture at the Annual Meeting.
Article 6
The supplementary prize money shall be disbursed from the JSPP project account.
Supplementary Provision
These regulations shall take effect in the 2022 fiscal year.
