Regulations for the Japanese Society of Plant Physiologists Plant and Cell Physiology Top Cited Paper Awards for the Paper of Excellence

Article 1
The Japanese Society of Plant Physiologists (hereafter referred to as “JSPP”) shall confer the JSPP Plant and Cell Physiology Top Cited Paper Awards for the Paper of Excellence (hereafter referred to as the “PCP Top Cited Paper Awards”) in order to promote plant science–related fields through the announcement of outstanding papers.
Article 2
There will be two sections: the PCP Top Cited Regular Paper Award and the PCP Top Cited Review Paper Award.
Article 3
The papers will be selected from the papers published in the volumes three years prior to the year of selection, and the papers with the highest number of citations* in the year prior to the year of selection will be selected as the candidates.
* It should be based on data from Web of Science.
Article 4
The PCP Award Committee, to be determined separately, will confirm and select the winners, and report the results to the President. The President will notify the Directors of the results of the selection, and the award-winning papers will be decided by a resolution of the Board of Directors.
Article 5
The President will award a certificate to the author of the winning paper at the award ceremony at the Annual Meeting.
Article 6
One corresponding author of the award-winning paper will be designated as a recipient of the award, and will receive the privilege of publishing one Free Access paper in PCP as a corresponding author. This privilege will be granted if the submission is made within five years of the award.
Supplementary Provision
These regulations shall take effect in the 2022 fiscal year.
