Future plan of action policy for the novel coronavirus (COVID -19) infection at the 61st Osaka meeting of the Japanese Society of Plant Physiology

The novel coronavirus (COVID -19) infection is wreaking havoc at home and abroad, forcing many rallies to be canceled.
The 61st Osaka Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Plant Physiologists is scheduled to be held from March 19 to 21 at the Suita Campus, Osaka University. The Committee and the Steering Committee are reviewing the necessity of holding the annual meeting from the viewpoint of preventing the spread of infection in accordance with the "Message to the public regarding the holding of events" announced by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare on February 20.
By February 26, we will establish a cancellation policy based on the Society guidelines for holding annual meetings in the event of an emergency, and at the latest by March 5, we will inform all members of the society's decision whether the annual meeting will be held or not.
Please note that the situation in Japan is changing day by day, and this schedule may change depending on the situation.
