Membership

Membership Types

JSPP offers three membership categories.
The society's fiscal year runs from January to December. Even if you join mid-year, the membership fee for the entire year is required, and the membership is valid until December.

International Regular Membership

For individuals living outside Japan who agree with the goals of the JSPP.

Membership benefits include:

  1. Plant and Cell Physiology is available for online access. (excluding lifetime members)
  2. Gakkai Tsushin newsletter (in Japanese) or JSPP Newsletter (in English) are available for online access.
  3. Non-open access publishing in Plant and Cell Physiology (accessible via subscription) is free.
    Open access publishing (accessible to all readers) offers a membership discount.

  4. Ability to participate in the annual meeting and present research (with payment of the meeting fee).

International Regular Member (Senior) JPY 4,000- Aged 65 and above, not in full-time employment
International Regular Member (Student) JPY 3,000- Certificate of student status (a copy of student ID etc) should be submitted

For research institutions or companies that agree with the goals of the JSPP.
Dues: 60,000 yen/year per institution

Membership benefits include:

  1. Plant and Cell Physiology is available for online access.
  2. Gakkai Tsushin newsletter (in Japanese) or JSPP Newsletter (in English) are available for online access.
  3. Company or institution name will appear in the Gakkai Tsushin and JSPP Newsletter
  4. Free participation in the Annual Meeting (up to two individuals per membership)
  5. Eligibility for one individual per membership to present a paper at the Annual Meeting (with payment of the meeting fee)
  6. Profile of your company/institution (in either Japanese or English) on the Sustaining Members Information page of this web site (Japanese version)
  7. Reduced-rate advertisements (in either Japanese or English) on the Information on Products and Books page of the JSPP web site (Japanese version)
