Invitation to the 60th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Plant Physiologists

You are cordially invited to the 60th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Plant Physiologists, JSPP, to be held on March 13-15, 2019, in Nagoya. The meeting will cover many exciting subjects in the field of plant biology. The academic meeting of the Japan-Taiwan Plant Biology 2019 (JTPB 2019) will be held in tandem with this annual meeting, while one part will be incorporated into the annual meeting program.

3. Presentations

Membership to the JSPP is required to give a presentation at the annual meeting. Please visit the JSPP website for membership registration. Presentation is limited to one time for each member. Presentation and discussion will be done in Japanese or English. Detailed information regarding registration for attendees or presenters is provided in the website of JSPP Annual Meeting.

3-1. Oral presentations

Presentation time is 15 minutes, including discussion. To make the oral presentation session smooth, the presentation and question-and-answer are limited to 12 and 2.5 minutes, respectively. Presenters are requested to bring their own PC and operate by themselves, because there is no assistant in presentation rooms.

3-2. Poster presentations

Poster presentations will also be accepted. The size of poster panel is 90 cm x 210 cm (width x height). Poster presenters should be in the poster room during discussion time of the poster session.

4. Symposia

Nine symposia are scheduled. The details of the symposia will be given later in the website of JSPP Annual Meeting. All symposium speakers will be selected and invited by the symposium organizers. Please note that a symposium speaker cannot give an oral or poster presentation.

5. Banquet

6. Registration for Participation and Presentations

Registration is required for all attendees. Please fill out the registration form on the website by February 6, 2019.

For oral or poster presentations, please register your paper title together with abstract by December 3, 2018 on the website. A list of sessions is attached as a PDF file.

Anyone who wants to present a paper should register for attendance by December 3, 2018.

Applications for presentations will not be accepted after the deadline.

• Deadline for the registration of paper presentation: December 3, 2018, 24:00 (Japan Standard Time).
• Deadline for attendance only: February 6, 2019, 24:00 (Japan Standard Time).

The program of the meeting will be placed on the website at the end of January 2019.

7. Instruction for Abstracts

Please submit abstract on the website. Before submission, please visit the “Registration” site, and read the “Instruction of Registration and Abstract Submission”. The abstract should not exceed 1200 letters. Figures and tables should not be placed in the abstract.

8. Registration Fee

* Presentation: JSPP members only
** Non-member symposium speakers are exempt from registration fee, but banquet fee and Gala Dinner fees are required. Symposium abstract should be submitted on-line by December 3, 2018.
*** All attendees can join the JTPB2019 program, but Gala Dinner fee is required.

Please send all fees in Japanese yen. (Note: Members who would like to attend both the meeting and the banquet need to send 17,000 yen when the registration is made on or before February 6, 2019.)

The registration fee should be paid on-line by credit card or sent by postal giro transfer (Postal account No. 00940-8-196447, domestic transaction only) by December 3, 2018 if you are presenting a paper, by February 6, 2019 if you are attending but not presenting paper. However, in case you are coming from overseas and do not use credit card, please complete online registration by the deadline (on or before December 3, 2018 if you are presenting a paper, on or before February 6, 2019 if you are attending but not presenting a paper) and contact the Annual Meeting Committee (jspp2019@nacos.com). With online registration and prior notification to the Annual Meeting Committee, you may pay the fee (early-bird rate) on site (in cash only). Without online registration and prior notification, early-bird rate will not be applicable.

Receipts will not be issued. Once registration forms and payment have been received, the payment will not be refunded, even if the registration is cancelled.

If you have an accompanying guest(s), please consult the Annual Meeting Committee.

9. Transportation and Accommodations

• The Annual Meeting Committee Office does not provide assistance with accommodation and transportation. Please make your own arrangements.
• Reservations should be made as soon as possible. There are many hotels in Nagoya, but availability can be scarce if a number of events coincide.
