Announcement: Japan–Taiwan Plant Biology 2026 (JTPB2026)

Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to announce that Japan–Taiwan Plant Biology 2026 (JTPB2026) will be held on March 16, 2026, at Yasuda Auditorium, University of Tokyo . This joint meeting series between the Japanese Society of Plant Physiologists (JSPP) and the Taiwan Society of Plant Biologists (TSPB) began with TJPB2017 in Taipei, followed by JTPB2019 in Nagoya and TJPB2023 in Taipei. Over the years, it has become a key platform for strengthening exchanges between plant scientists in Taiwan and Japan and fostering collaborative research.

JTPB2026 will feature the central concept of "Plant Environmental Adaptation: Japan–Taiwan Collaborations Towards Sustainable Futures, " highlighting cutting-edge research on how plants perceive, respond to, and adapt to their environment, to discuss our sustainable futures.

JTPB2026 is a one-day meeting featuring keynote talks and presentations by invited speakers from JSPP and TSPB. It will take place immediately following the JSPP Annual Meeting (March 13-15, Surugadai campus, Meiji University, Tokyo). Members of both societies are encouraged to attend and present their research as oral or poster presentations at the JSPP annual meeting. All posters and oral presentations in the 10 concurrent symposia of the JSPP Annual Meeting are conducted in English. In addition, we are planning to organize a joint symposium involving JSPP and TSPB members on March 15 (day 3 of the JSPP Annual Meeting).

TSPB members are cordially invited to the JTPB2026 welcome party on March 15, and are also welcome to join the social gathering of the JSPP Annual Meeting on March 14 (day 2), for which a reception fee will apply.
